Your telegram of May 7th. No truth in report
which it is probable emanated from Manila where the press
have an account of Bune's execution. Bune went to Manila
en the 4th August on shipping business. He returned to
Hongkong October 23rd and was made prisoner of war as he
admitted that he was liable to military service if in
Germany. He is confined with other prisoners of war and is
treated as an officer. He is in good health and of excel-
lent behaviour. He has not been punished in any way.
